Poetry Evening in Zarqa Celebrates Creativity and Strengthens Cultural Partnership
Zarqa hosted a poetry evening organized by the Creative Team Forum for Culture and Arts in cooperation with the Sama Culture Association, with the participation of a distinguished group of poets and intellectuals and in the presence of a notable cultural audience.
The evening opened with a speech by the forum’s president, writer Raed Assaf, who welcomed attendees and emphasized the importance of cultural partnerships in supporting the creative movement and enhancing quality cultural events. He also praised the ongoing cooperation with Sama Culture Association.
For her part, the association’s president, writer Hayam Dhamra, expressed her appreciation for the participants and attendees, stressing that cooperation between cultural institutions contributes to presenting literary and cultural content that meets audience expectations and enriches literary taste.
The evening was moderated by poet Mahmoud Al-Arabi, who presented the program with a refined literary style characterized by fluidity and harmony, maintaining the rhythm of the evening and audience engagement.
The event featured a variety of poetry readings, beginning with Syrian poet Imad Al-Miqdad, who presented a selection of texts marked by profound meaning and eloquent language. Jordanian poet Rakan Al-Masaeed also recited poems carrying philosophical dimensions and innovative poetic imagery.
Poet Shaher Al-Shantir additionally delivered a Nabati poem inspired by the local environment and spirit of place, which was warmly received by the audience.
The evening concluded with an honoring ceremony for the participating poets, where writers Hayam Dhamra and Raed Assaf, accompanied by poet Shafiq Al-Atawneh, presented commemorative shields in recognition of the participants’ contributions to the success of the event.
